  • Collection of Stool Sample:

Collect an adequate amount of stool (1-2 ml or 1-2 g) in a clean, dry sample collection container to obtain sufficient virus particles. The best results are achieved if the analysis is performed within 6 hours after sample collection. If the sample is not tested within 6 hours, it can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 3 days. For long-term storage, samples should be kept at -20°C.

    Processing of Fecal Specimens:

    • For Solid Samples: Remove the cap of the sample collection container and randomly stab the sampling applicator at least 3 different spots in the fecal specimen to collect approximately 50 mg of feces (equivalent to about 1/4 of a pea). Do not scoop the sample material.
    • For Liquid Samples: Hold the dropper vertically, aspirate the fecal specimen, and then transfer 2 drops (about 50 µL) into the sample collection container with the extraction buffer. Close the cap tightly and shake the sample collection container vigorously to mix the sample with the extraction buffer.

Bring the pouch to room temperature before opening it. Remove the test cassette from the foil pouch and use it within one hour. The best results are obtained when the test is performed immediately after opening the foil pouch.

Hold the sample collection container upright and unscrew the tip of the container. Invert the sample collection container and drop 2 full drops of the extracted sample (about 80 µL) into the sample well (S) of the test cassette and start the timer. Avoid air bubbles in the sample well (S).

Read the results after 10 minutes from the addition of the sample. Results should not be read after 20 minutes. Note: If the sample does not move (presence of particles), centrifuge the extracted sample in the extraction buffer tube. Collect 80 µL of the supernatant and proceed according to the instructions.
